The Nigeria Police Force Television Series, “Beyond Your Sight,” is set to premiere on June 7 in Abuja.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Olabisi Kolawole, disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja on Saturday.
Kolawole said the television series was aimed at bringing to the fore concerted efforts of the police at preventing and unveiling crime in the society.
She also said it was aimed at educating, sensitising and enlightening members of the public about their safety and security.
She said the series was also aimed at educating police officers on how to relate with the public.
“It is the expectation of the force leadership that in the long term, the series will aid the rebranding process of the force,” she said.
Kolawole added that the 13-episode series would be aired on different television stations across the country after the premiere.
The police spokesperson added that the series, produced by award winning Lacelot Imasuen, would feature actors Segun Arinze and Desmond Elliot, among others.
She said the project was inspired by the Inspector-General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team.
The programme documents, serialises and disseminates landmark operational intelligence, investigative and prosecutorial exploits of the police.
