A 21-year-old student has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for raping a 20-year-old girl in his residence.
The accused, Precious Onuoha, who resides at No 5, Akobi Cresent, Surulere, Lagos, is facing a three-count charge of illegal sexual intercourse, assault and harassment before the Lagos court.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Eruada Victor, told the court on Friday that the accused lured the victim to his residence where he sexually assaulted and raped her repeatedly on April 25, 2016.
He added that the matter was reported to the police after the victim confessed to her parents that she was raped by the accused.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, Mr E.O. Ogunkanni, granted the accused a bail of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ogunkanni adjourned the case to May 24, for hearing.
