Former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Tuesday justified his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying he only took a leave of absence from the party.
Osoba, who spoke in Abeokuta during the public presentation of a book written by foremost politician and influential businessman, Chief Alani Bankole, also disclosed that the Alake of Egbaland, Oba
Adedotun Gbadebo, and Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, played
key roles in his return to APC.
The book titled “Alake of Egbaland: The Succession Dynamics” was formally presented at an event attended by former House of Representatives Speaker, Dimeji Bankole; former Ogun State Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salmot Badru; former Minister of Mines and Steel
Development, Alhaji Sarafa Isola; and former Minister of State for Agriculture, Chief Najeem Awodele.
