Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has suspended the Commissioner for Works, Kevin Wachukwu.
Wachukwu’s suspension was announced in a statement released by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
The Governor’s spokesman said the suspension of the Works Commissioner takes immediate effect, and that the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects had been directed to take charge of the ministry for the time being.
However, the statement did not disclose any reason why the Commissioner was suspended.
