A police sergeant identified as Jude Nwadudu, has died in a hotel in Lagos.
The policeman allegedly slipped and fell while having his bath in the hotel room at Iju area of Lagos.
It was learnt that the deceased, whose wife is also a sergeant, was serving at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) headquarters of the Lagos State Police Command.
A father of four, the deceased was said to have been carried out of the hotel room unconscious.
His female companion in the room was said to have raised an alarm for people to come to his rescue after he slipped, fell and allegedly hit his head on the bath.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital before he was transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where he eventually died.
It was also gathered that his companion was invited for questioning and was released after her statement was documented by the police.
