William Schooler, 70 (right), a pastor at St Peter’s Missionary Baptist in Dayton, Ohio was shot and killed by his brother while service was in session at the church.
The choir was singing when the suspect, 69-year-old Daniel (left), got up, followed the pastor and shot him as he got behind the pulpit. He died at the scene from his injuries.
While the motive for the shooting is not clear, reports say it was related to a domestic incident.
Schooler was a decorated Vietnam veteran who was awarded the Bronze star graduated from Central State University in 1972, the Ohio State University in 1976, and Grace College, Columbia, South Carolina in 2003. He was appointed pastor of the church in 2011.
