Jose Mourinho is set to replace his former mentor, Louis van Gaal, as coach of Manchester United in the summer.
It is understood that personal terms have already been negotiated.
According to reports in the British media, the former Chelsea boss, will sign a three-year deal at Old Trafford, which will see him earn £15million a season.
The package will put him on par with old foe, Pep Guardiola, who is heading to rivals Manchester City after the season ends.
Mourinho is keen to bring in Atletico Madrid’s sporting director, Andrea Berta and is believed to be working on transfer targets already.
