Mother of Taraba state Deputy Governor Hajiya Belli Manu has been kidnapped by unknown persons.
The incident happened at about 9.30pm Monday night by gunmen.
She was kidnapped at her residence in Bakin Kasuwa area of Mutum Biyu town, some 70 kilometers from Jalingo, the state capital.
The kidnappers numbering about ten also killed a middle aged man at the front of the deputy governor’s family house before taking his mother away.
The chairman of Gassol local government area Alhaji Tukura Bashiru confirmed the incident.
The police spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
