The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, was Monday taken to court in handcuffs for the third time.
The first time was on January 19.
Following condemnations by his party and some Nigerians, the Nigerians Prisons which led him to court last Wednesday explained why the opposition spokesman was treated that way.
Similarly on January 22, Metuh was also brought at the premises of the Federal High Court Abuja in handcuffs.
Justice Ishaq Bello, at his ruling, granted him bail in the sum of N300m and two sureties in like sum.
Metuh, who is still being held in Kuje prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions, had before the commencement of Monday’s trial prayed the court for bail variation through his counsel, Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN.
Justice Okon Abang, thereafter adjourned the matter to January 26, 2016 for continuation of trial.
