Fuel scarcity: Nigerians paying for Jonathan’s sins

The Federal Government has blamed the lingering fuel scarcity on the poor management of the subsidy regime.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed, while briefing State House correspondents after today’s FEC meeting, said the nation was paying for the sins of the administration of former President Godluck Jonathan.

The minister accused Jonathan’s government of inability to make adequate provision for fuel subsidy.

“What we met on ground is such that we are paying for the sins of last administration”, Mohammed said.

According to him, the solution lies in what the government is doing at the moment to ensure that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is involved in fuel importation.
