The United States of America has set up a drone base in Cameroon in order to help the Central African Country fight Boko Haram, US-Based cbsnews.com has reported.
The report which described the base as America’s first in Africa, said the US has quietly sent hundreds of troops to the region in order to help fight Boko Haram.
It added that the American troops have started training their Cameroonian counterparts on how to use drones for surveilance.
Though Boko Haram started in Nigeria, it has attacked targets in neighbouring Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic.
