Senate President, Bukola Saraki has dissociated himself from the N60bn arms deal involving former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
Saraki in a statement his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu said contrary to report published in an online medium, he has never had anything to do with purchase of security equipment.
The senate president’s comment is coming as security operatives pounced on former public office holders who are suspected to have connection with the arms deal running into $2 billion.
Saraki said in his entire political career he had never served in any committee or body which has any link with Defence or national security.
