Arsenal and England forward, Danny Welbeck is set to miss the 2016 European Championship beginning in June and no fewer than 20 games of the 2016/2017 Barclays Premier League campaign through injury.
Welbeck who suffered cartilage damage in his right knee will be out for about 9 months; this comes as bad news to England, Arsenal and Welbeck himself who only just returned from injury this February. His last stretch of injury lasted 10 months and led to surgery on his left knee in September after picking up an injury in a goalless home draw against Chelsea FC in April, 2015.
His former club, Manchester United FC tweeted on their official account, wishing him a quick recovery.
