Notorious kidnapper, Hamisu Wadume has been listed as among the inmates that escaped from Kuje prison on Tuesday night.
News360 Info had earlier reported that terrorists (Boko Haram) on Tuesday invaded the facility to release their members.
Wadume was remanded in custody at Kuje prison, for armed robbery, kidnapping and gun running.
The kidnapper, who was apprehended by operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), could not be found after the attack on the facility.
According to Daily Sun, Wadume was not among the prisoners recaptured by the security agencies.
Recall that Wadume was arrested by IRT operatives in Taraba for terrorizing the people of the state.
However, the IRT operatives were attacked by soldiers of 93 Battalion, Takum, in Taraba state, which led to the death of three police officers and one civilian staff.
It was gathered that the military officers who rescued Wadume carried out the operations on the orders of their commanding officer, Major Balarabe.
Wadume was later rearrested by the operatives at Kano and brought to Abuja, and charged to court, where he was remanded in prison custody.
