Osun State Government has reacted to the alleged plot to kill the former governor of the state, Rauf Aregbesola.
Recall that News360 Info had recently reported that the minister’s convoy was attacked by armed hoodlums.
The Rasaq Salinsile faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State had also said that there was a plot to assassinate the minister during his visit to the Iwo Federal Constituency on Tuesday.
He said: “We say by default because the plan is to lay ambush for the minister’s entourage and deal it massive attacks on his way to visit Iwo on Tuesday.”
However, Special Adviser to Gov. Gboyega Oyetola on Political Matters, stated that the plot was not real, while addressing APC party members at the residence of Chief Bisi Akande, in Ila-Oragun.
He maintained that the accusations were fabricated by political hoodlums and aimed at causing a crisis in the state.
“There is no truth in the claim that there are plans to assassinate Aregbesola,” he said.
