Abba Kyari Comments: Sacked Kano Commissioner Fires Back At Gov Ganduje

0

Abdullahi Ganduje, Executive Governor of Kano state has sacked Engr. Mu’azu Magaji, Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure for making unguarded utterances against late Abba Kyari, President Buhari’s Chief of Staff.

This was contained in a statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Malam Mohammed Garba who disclosed Ganduje’s administration will not condone unguarded utterances from state officeholders in the state.

Following the announcement of Kyari’s death, Mu’azu took to his Twitter handle to post “We pray this time around, may God gives us a good CoS.” Tribune reports

However, the tweet has led to Engr Mu’azu losing his position in Ganduje’s cabinet.

“The action of a public servant, personal or otherwise reflects back on the government and therefore, the Ganduje administration would not tolerate people in official capacities engaging in personal vendetta or otherwise,” the statement read.

Magaji has reacted to his sacking for allegedly “celebrating” the death of Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

Taking to Facebook, the commissioner had described the late Chief of Staff as “domineering”, adding that he would not be missed.

He also described the late presidential aide as a power-grabber.

In yet another post before Kyari’s death, Magaji prayed for the healing of the CoS, but also prayed for him not to return to the position.

However, Magaji said his sacking was destined by Allah.

Translated from Hausa language which he posted it in, Magaji’s post read, “May Allah (SWT) make it the best”.

In another post, he disclosed that he would have resigned if given the opportunity to do so before being sacked but would not be leaving Kano.

“But I am not going anywhere, I am here in Kano,” he wrote, adding a tongue-out, one-eye closed emoji depicting excitement, fun or wackiness.

However, he said he remained loyal to Governor Ganduje despite his sacking.

“I remain every inch a Loyalist to HE as my Governor and will do everything in my power to protect his Government,” Magaji wrote.
