The Minister for Health, Osagie Emmanuel Ehanire on Monday morning announced a second confirmed case of COVID19 in Nigeria. This second case is a contact of the index case, in Ogun state.
The new case has been in isolation and was tested as part of the ministry’s strategy to test all contacts of the index case.
It will be recalled that the index case is an Italian who flew into the country a few weeks ago on board a Turkish Airways flight.
He then proceeded to a cement company in Ogun State to transact some business deals. He has since been quarantined in Lagos.
