The board chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Muhammed Mahmood, and his daughter were reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway today Monday, April 29th.
Mahmood and his daughter were travelling from Kaduna to the federal capital territory (FCT) when suspected kidnappers ambushed their vehicle around Katari, a village few kilometres from Zuba.
His driver was not that lucky, as he was shot dead in the operation.
The Kaduna-Abuja road has witnessed many cases of kidnappings in recent times.
