Hillary Clinton will not be prosecuted for using a private email server while she was US secretary of state.

The legal threat to her presidential bid was removed after the FBI’s year-long investigation ruled it would not be pursuing charges.

But Mrs Clinton was criticised by FBI chief James Comey for being ‘extremely careless’.
