The Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky Centre in Zaria, Kaduna State has been demolished, a report from the media team of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria claimed on Monday.
Known as the Husainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, the Centre was said to have been completely demolished by the Nigerian soldiers as allegedly directed by the Director General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Musa Daura.
The Zakzaky media team alleged that the purpose was to destroy the Islamic Movement and its followers in Nigeria.
It said according to eyewitnesses, the building was reduced to rubbles around 2pm.
The building was said to have been partially destroyed last week Sunday by soldiers during an operation at the Centre.
The demolition, according to a media team, left the an ongoing building project inside the Centre completely pulled down from its foundation.
It promised to provide more information in due course.
