Yobe Police Ban Purchase, Use Of Fireworks

Yobe State Police Command has banned the sale and use of fireworks and other explosives in the state during this year’s yuletide, which according to it may constitute threat to the security system.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Gbadegesin J. Toyin, disclosed this in Damaturu.

According to him, the prohibition of sale and the use of fireworks was still in force.

“The public is hereby reminded that any use of fireworks during and after this yuletide season is prohibited. Any violator of this order shall be viewed as security saboteur and shall be arrested and prosecuted,” he said.
