NASS Staff, Supporters Celebrate Failed Attempt To Impeach Saraki, Others

Some staff of the National Assembly chanted, “They have failed!” as they celebrated the alleged plot to remove Saraki and Ekweremadu from office.

Some staff of the National Assembly, Tuesday morning went wild in celebration over a failed attempt to impeach the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.

The Department of State Services, DSS and other security agents earlier in the day blocked the entrance to the National Assembly.

The development was alleged to be part of the plot to effect a change of the Senate leadership on Tuesday. The pro-Buhari lawmakers were said to have move to Sheraton Hotel to carry out the impeachment process.
