Many passengers were feared dead after two commercial buses collided along Ibadan-Iseyin road on Saturday.
It was gathered that the incident occurred at a sharp bend at kilometer 5, Iseyin-Ibadan Road.
An official number of people who lost their lives in the incident was yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report, but it was gathered that no fewer than 18 people died in the incident.
Some of the survivors were reportedly rushed to a private hospital within Iseyin town.
Local sources said the collision was due to over-speeding by the drivers. They said the two vehicles met at a sharp bend at the market area in Iseyin.
Calls made to the mobile number of the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, and other stakeholders did not go through.
