The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare Benue, Taraba and Borno states no-fly zones.

ACF Chairman, Audu Ogbeh claimed that there were rumors that aircrafts “frequently drop arms for bandits and insurgents” operating in the states.

Ogbe made the call following the declaration of a no-fly zone on Zamfara State due to the issue of insecurity bedevilling the state.

He said the extended ban will curb the activities of criminal elements in the state.

In a statement, Ogbe said: “Arewa Consultative Forum congratulates the people and government of Zamfara State on the safe release of the kidnapped schoolgirls from the Government Girls Secondary School in the state.
