Buhari departs Katsina after Sallah visit

President Muhammadu Buhari Friday departed Katsina for Abuja after an eventful weeklong visit for the Eid-Kabir Sallah celebrations.

The Presidential aircraft took off at the Umaru Musa Yar’dua international at exactly 4 pm.

The President had arrived in the state from neighboring Kano on Thursday, July 15, and commissioned the multi-million Zobe dam abandoned for over 30 years by previous administrations

Buhari also commissioned the integrated Farm estate constructed by the National Agricultural land Development Authority, NALDA, in Daura, Katsina, describing the milestone project as capable of boosting the economy and tackling food security challenges.

The Presidential residence in Daura also turned into a temporary political Mecca, hosting several visitors, including 12 Governors and lawmakers, and other dignitaries.
