Mr Victor Adamu, the Operations Manager of the station told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview in Abuja on Sunday.

According to him, the Sunday operation was successful based on the good and sizeable turn out of passengers.

“The train service took off at 12p.m. from Idu station and left Rigasa by 4p.m., we have 192 passengers from Abuja, and we are using the four coaches, three economies and one business class.

“Sunday was used for maintenance of the coaches but there was a public demand that there should be train service on Sunday which was approved by the management.
