The United States government has confirmed plans to deport 130 Nigerian nationals convicted of various criminal offences, including advance fee fraud, illegal possession of weapons, drug-related crimes, and assault.
News360 Info reports that the development was disclosed in a statement and document released on the official website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
According to the document, titled “Worst of the Worst,” the individuals listed are among criminal immigrants currently facing deportation proceedings in the United States.
The department explained that the move forms part of ongoing enforcement actions targeting individuals convicted of serious crimes.
The statement said, “The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).”
The DHS noted that the deportation exercise is part of the immigration enforcement agenda under President Donald Trump, aimed at removing undocumented migrants involved in criminal activities.
“Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations – starting with the worst of the worst – including the illegal aliens you see here,” the statement added.
Authorities said the affected individuals were convicted of offences ranging from financial crimes such as advance fee fraud to drug trafficking, illegal firearms possession, and violent assault cases.
The deportation process is expected to be carried out through the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following the completion of legal procedures.

The individuals include Boluwaji Akingunsoye, Ejike Asiegbunam, Emmanuel Mayegun Adeola, Bamidele Bolatiwa, Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, Aderemi Akefe, Solomon Wilfred, Chibundu Anuebunwa, Joshua Ineh, Usman Momoh, Oluwole Odunowo, Bolarinwa Salau and Oriyomi Aloba.
Others named are Oludayo Adeagbo, Olaniyi Akintuyi, Talatu Dada, Olatunde Oladinni, Jelili Qudus, Abayomi Daramola, Toluwani Adebakin, Olamide Jolayemi, Isaiah Okere, Benji Macaulay and Joseph Ogbara.
