Two members of the Epe community, 63-year-old Musbau Oloruntoyin Amsdau and 45-year-old Fuad Adebayo Amuni, have been arrested and brought before a magistrates’ court for allegedly vandalising and stealing assets belonging to the late Lagos political figure, Lanre Razak.
Their arrest followed a petition lodged by the Razak family, prompting operatives of the Zone 2 Police Command to launch an investigation.
Police reports indicate that on 7 September 2025, the duo allegedly broke into Kim Block Industry located in Ebute Afuye, Epe, a property owned by the late politician, where they reportedly destroyed the facility’s main gate and carted away iron rods and other items valued at about N5 million.
After the Oracle Unit of the Command concluded its inquiries, the two suspects were arraigned before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, sitting at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court, on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, malicious damage and stealing.
According to the police prosecutor, ASP Jimoh Joseph, the incident occurred on Ogunude Street, near Oluwa Market in Epe, and was carried out without any lawful justification.
He noted that the defendants were charged under Sections 411, 350 and 287 of the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015.
Both men pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Magistrate A.O. Alogba granted each defendant bail in the sum of N500,000, with two sureties in the same amount, and ordered their remand at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre until they meet the bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned to 16 December 2025 for mention.
