Police and PSC aren’t fighting, but we can’t let anyone join the force if they intend to commit themselves – IGP

There is no conflict between the Police Force and the Police Service Commission (PSC) about the just completed constable recruitment, according to Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

The IGP stated that the Force only became aware of a few disparities in the recruitment process and the quality of individuals hired, and it communicated this to the commission.

Egbetokun underlined that the Police Force cannot just turn a blind eye and permit the wrong people to be hired as police officers since doing so will only lead to more tragedies.

The submission was submitted on Thursday by the IGP.
