Aisha Buhari: Aminu Meets Nigerian Governor After Buhari’s Meeting Failed

Aminu Adamu, a final year student of the Federal University, Dutse, who was released from detention on Friday has met with a Nigerian Governor.

News360 info recalls that Aminu was arrested after he claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife was feeding fat on Nigerians’ money.

He was, however, released after an outcry from Nigerians calling for his release, while the National Union of Nigerian Students (NANS) threatened to protest if he is not released.

Following Aminu’s release, the 400-level student was expected to visit President Buhari in Aso Rock according to his uncle.

Aminu’s family in a chat with Daily Trust disclosed that his planned visit to the President failed to materialise.

His uncle, Shehu Baba Azare, however, stated that Aminu met with the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, after his release.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Azare, said, “Aminu was released on Friday and we awaited him because we learned that he was billed to visit Mr President at the Presidential Villa yesterday night but unfortunately the visit was not possible, later they shifted the visit to Saturday still the visit didn’t take place. At the end of it all, they met with Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu who boarded a flight for him from Abuja to Dutse in Jigawa State where Aminu was received by his friends and well-wishers.

“The entire family is extremely happy with his release because we’ve been struggling for his freedom for a long time. Initially, we felt we could not do it until when we committed the issue to public court where we got public assistance from individuals, the media, CSOs, and from everywhere. In the end, Aminu is free.”
