A pregnant woman and seven others have been abducted by bandits who attacked Lema community in the Mando area of Kaduna, opposite the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna state over the weekend.
According to eyewitnesses, the bandits abducted the victims from three houses around the area.
“They came around 1am and took away eight residents, including a pregnant woman, who came to visit her sick mother in the community. This is not the first time bandits would attack our community,” a resident of the community said.
The state police command or the state government is yet to comment on this recent development.
Kaduna state has over the years witnessed a rise in kidnappings in the state.
