Joe Igbokwe, an aide to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, has slammed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congres (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, for choosing Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the consensus presidential candidate of the party.
The APC national chairman had on Monday announced Lawan as the consensus presidential candidate of the ruling party.
The APC Chairman said that he arrived at the choice of Lawan after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.
However, President Buhari denied the claim during a meeting with Northern APC Governors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The President added that he was yet to agree on a particular aspirant.
