0

Troops of the Nigerian military on Saturday clashed with bandit terrorists forcing the closure of the Kaduna International Airport.

It was gathered that the accident, which happened around 12:30 pm on Saturday afternoon, forced an AZMAN aircraft scheduled for Lagos to quickly abort take off.

A source at the Kaduna airport told Daily Trust said no aircraft was attacked but a staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) was killed.

According to him, the aircraft which was about to leave could not do so due to the presence of the bandits close to the airport.

Soldiers were reportedly deployed in the airport to ensure full security.

Calls to ASP Jalige Mohammed, the state Police Public Relations Officer, were unanswered at the time of filing the report.
