Abducted Imo Monarch, Youth Leader Found Dead

Paul Ogbu, the traditional ruler of Ihitte Ihube autonomous community in the Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, whose daughter raised an alarm after he was abducted on Sunday and his palace and vehicle were set ablaze has been found dead.

A youth leader in the community who was also kidnapped alongside the slain monarch was also found dead.

The traditional ruler is billed to be buried today (Thursday) as his corpse was conveyed to his kingdom on Wednesday.

Community sources on Thursday disclosed that it was another traditional ruler, Acho Ndukwe, who was kidnapped alongside Ogbu who disclosed that their abductors had killed Ogbu.

One of the sources said, “Eze Paul Ogbu and the youth leader have been found dead. Eze Acho Ndukwe, revealed that the criminals killed Eze Paul Ogbu in his presence. Security operatives went back to the criminals camp with the indigenes and the corpse of the traditional ruler was identified lying in a ditch. He will be buried today which is Thursday.”

Ogbu and Ndukwe were kidnapped on Sunday with their vehicles and palaces razed.

Ndukwe was rescued on Monday after combined security operatives raided the criminal den in Orsu Local Government Area and Uli in Ihiala LGA of Anambra state.

When contacted, the police spokesperson said he is not aware and that he will update me if he finds out
