Mrs. Deborah Okezie, whose son, Don Davis, was allegedly sexually assaulted and tortured while a boarder at Akwa Ibom’s Deeper Life High School, has slammed parents who allegedly flew their children abroad after they were accused of torturing Sylvester Oromoni, their Dowen college classmate. Sylvester died in highly contentious circumstances on Tuesday.
Mrs. Okezie demanded justice for Sylvester Oromoni during a Facebook live chat. She stated that as a mother and the parent of a child who was assaulted by his classmates, she is powerless to remain silent when such an incident occurs.
She pleaded for Sylvester’s release, whom she referred to as “my son”.
She urged the state and federal governments to ensure that boarding schools have well-equipped hospitals and surveillance cameras installed throughout their campuses.
