Noticeable Republicans in the US Congress, on Sunday, asked President Donald Trump to “contend energetically” and not surrender to Joe Biden in the race for the White House.
They asserted that Trump’s claims of misrepresentation must be researched.
A portion of the Republicans likewise disclosed to Trump that legitimate difficulties must be permitted to happen before he makes the following move.
Representative Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said on Fox News: “We will work with Biden on the off chance that he wins, however Trump has not lost.
“Try not to surrender, Mr. President. Contend energetically.”
Other top Republicans were, however, more careful with their comments, but nonetheless refused to acknowledge Biden’s victory, saying legal battles must happen and vote counting must continue.
“What we need in the presidential race is to make sure every legal vote is counted, every recount is completed, and every legal challenge should be heard.
“Then and only then that America will decide who won the race,” Kevin McCarthy, the top Republican in the House of Representatives added.
