The cost of treating COVID-19 patient- El-Rufai reveals

Lead representative Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai of Kaduna State has revealed that it costs about N400,000 to treat a COVID-19 patient in the state.

The governor uncovered this while asking customary rulers from the North to keep sharpening their kin on the risks of the pandemic.

“The sum is because of the expanding cost of medications, taking care of, and individual defensive gear (PPE) for specialists.

The administration can’t advise patients to hold up under the expense of the treatment since it will prompt additionally spread of the ailment,” he said.

El-Rufai notwithstanding, said Kaduna had an extremely high achievement rate in treating COVID-19 patients, even as a 90-year-old individual, with basic conditions, diabetes and hypertension was dealt with effectively in the state.

“The infection has not left us. We may overlook it, yet it is still there. We encourage you to sharpen our kin to ensure themselves against this infection, especially those that are over the age of 60.”
