COVID-19: Nigeria records 354 new cases as total escalates to 45,244

354 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria on Thursday, August 6.

A breakdown from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) indicates that the FCT had the highest number of fresh cases – 78,  and is followed by Lagos with 76.

Other states with confirmed cases of COVID-19 include Kaduna-23, Ebonyi–19; Oyo–18;  Nasarawa–17;  Rivers–17; Delta-6; Kwara–15; Akwa Ibom–13; Edo–12, Ogun-2, Plateau–11; Kano–9; Bauchi–6 ; Borno–6 and Ekiti  -6.

Nigeria now has 45,244 confirmed cases of the viral disease. 32,430 patients have been discharged so far with 930 deaths recorded.
