The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the extension of the date for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards.
The Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, made the announcement on Friday at a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners in Abuja.
Instead of the initial closing date of February 11 (today), registered voters now have up till February 11 (Monday) to collect their cards.
The collection days will also include Saturday and Sunday.
Yakubu directed all States offices to review the procedure for the collection of PVCs and dedicate all the staff of the Local Government offices to the collection process.
