The Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu 1, has said that God would not allow any other party win the 2019 gubernatorial election in Lagos.
He said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had done enough to deserve another shot at the governorship in the coming election.
Oba Akiolu spoke on Friday at the 11th Annual Hijrah Lecture and Commissioning of the new House of Assembly Mosque.
The traditional ruler hailed the building of the mosque, highlighting its strategic importance within the Assembly complex where the state’s laws are passed.
Oba Akiolu appealed for proper welfare of the custodians of the mosque, saying it was not enough to build a mosque without making provision for its custodians.
Similarly, he enjoined the custodians of the mosque to shun any activity that could subject the religion of Islam to disrepute.
