Outgoing Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has declared his intention to run for Ogun Central Senatorial seat in 2019 election.
Amosun had represented the senatorial district between 2003 and 2007 on the platform of All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) before he later became governor in 2011.
He made this announcement on Wednesday at a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Mitros Residence in Abeokuta, the state capital
The governor’s declaration comes barely 48 hours after the occcupant of the seat, Lanre Tejuoso had declared to recontest the seat.
