A 40 year old man has been arrested by men of the Nigerian police for allegedly killing his friend whom he borrowed the sum of N50,000 from.
According to report, the suspect, identified as Hassan Lawan, murdered his friend, Zilani Yusuf, 35, to avoid returning the loan he obtained from him.
The suspect was reported to have committed the crime in Bari, Kano State.
Speaking on the arrest, the Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Rabiu Yusuf, disclosed that the suspect allegedly killed his friend during the visit and then harvested his organs.
Hassan Lawan was however exposed when his friend, Yusuf, failed to return to his home as he had confided in a friend before leaving for Lawan’s house.
The friend called for help and cried out leading to the arrest of Lawan.
Lawan while chatting with Sunday Sun said: “When he continued to demand for the money, I decided to kill him and removed his private parts, so that he would stop disturbing me to pay him.”
