Football veteran, John Terry has ended his career at the Stamford Bridge after he sealed a mouth-watering deal with Aston Villa.
This development was confirmed by Villa owner and chairman Tony Xia on Monday, July 3, 2017.
Xia wrote on Twitter: “Welcome JT to Birmingham city… Aston Villa. Announcement shortly.”
Terry moves to Villa side who will be seeking to mount a push for promotion back into the Premier League. Following their relegation in 2016, the Midlands club were only able to finish 13th last season.
Terry made 690 appearances in total for Chelsea, scoring 65 goals, as he won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League.
