Ondo election: APC postpones Buhari’s visit

The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State has postponed the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state to November 10.

The president’s visit was initially scheduled for November 3 for the commencement of the campaign of its governorship candidate, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).

Ondo state would hold its governorship election on November 26.

The APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Abayomi Adesanya, at a press conference in Akure on Tuesday, said that the postponement was due to the “tight schedule of Mr President”.

He said, “The president wants to be present at the campaign rally in person.

“This is due to the economic importance of Ondo State in the development of Nigeria.”
