FG appoints new heads for NEPAD, PTDF, others

The Federal Government has approved the appointment of 13 Chief Executives in some parastatals and agencies, thereby marking an end to the tenure of various occupants of the positions.

A statement issued on Monday evening by the Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Bolaji Adebiyi, with Ref. No. PPR/OSGF/PR/03, said the appointments were approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

While Joseph Ari was named Director-General of Industrial Training Fund, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), becomes the Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency.

The government also appointed Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote, Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Monitoring Board, while Osita Anthony Aboloma becomes DG of Standard Organisation of Nigeria.

Mamman Amadu is the DG of Bureau of Public Procurement, while the mantle of leadership in Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate fell on Sharon Ikeazor.

Princess Gloria Akobundu becomes the National Coordinator/Chief Executive of New Partnership for Africa’s Development, just as Alhaji Ahmed Bobboi was named Executive Secretary of Petroleum Equalisation Fund.

While Umana Okon Umana becomes the Managing Director of Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, Sa’adiya Faruq has been appointed Federal Commissioner for National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons.

The government also named Usman Abubakar as chairman of Nigerian Railway Corporation; Dr. Bello Aliyu Gusau, Executive Secretary, Petroleum Technology Development Fund and Yewande Sadiku, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission.
