Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has sacked the General Manager of the State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr. Michael Akindele.
The governor also announced Mr. Tiamiyu Muyiwa Adesina as Akindele’s replacement.
This was contained in a letter signed by the state’s Head of Service, Mrs. Olabowale Ademola, on September 14.
Although the letter did not state any reason for Akindele’s sack, a state government official said the move was part of the governor’s quest to reposition emergency management operations in the state.
