Lagos Monarch Regains Freedom

Kidnapped Lagos monarch, Oba Yushau Oseni, has been freed by his abductors. Oba Oseni, the Oniba of Ibaland, was abducted on July 16.

According to information reaching New Telegraph, the Oba was freed on Friday after a payment of N14 million ransom by the family of the monarch on Thursday.

The kidnappers had initially demanded for N500 million from the family.

The 74-year-old first class monarch was abducted from his palace on July 16 at about 8pm.

In the process of kidnapping him, two persons were killed, while one of his wives was injured.
