Louis van Gaal is reportedly going to be replaced by Jose Mourinho.
Gilroy, an employment lawyer whose clients include Roy Hodgson, Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp also worked on David Moyes’ Old Trafford departure.
And it’s believed he is at Carrington to seal Van Gaal’s exit, with Jose Mourinho waiting in the wings to take charge.
Sky Sports said: “A lawyer for the League Managers’ Association, Paul Gilroy QC, has arrived at United’s training ground.
“He initially tried to gain access but was turned away, but he returned about 15 minutes later and was allowed to go straight in.
“It could be coincidence that he’s here with Louis van Gaal but the likelihood is that negotiations are well under way as regards a possible severance package.”
Express Sport understands Mourinho will be the Dutchman’s replacement and could be unveiled as the boss tomorrow.
The Portuguese is expected to be handed a £200million summer war chest with which to buy players.
And it’s said the United board are expecting instant results from the former Chelsea boss, expecting to lift the Premier League trophy next season.
More details coming soon at Van Gaal is in a meeting right now with top hierarchy members at Manchester United.
