Corruption brought Goodluck Jonathan down – Cleric

The General Overseer of Commission House of God, Apostle Ezeala Oswald has explained why the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan failed.
The cleric said his failure to tackle corruption in the country was one of the major factors that led to his electoral defeat.

Oswald, who stated this in Owerri, Imo State yesterday, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari started the crusade transparently by declaring his personal assets.
He maintained that Buhari’s crusade against graft will clean up the system polluted by previous administrations.

“President Buhari, on assumption of office declared his assets and is operating one bank account; what he is doing is to sanitise Nigeria of corruption, just as the governor of Imo State, Okorocha is doing.

“This was what Nigerians expected from former President Jonathan, but unfortunately, he never met the aspirations of Nigerians.

“Today, Nigerians are paying through their nose to have a daily meal because of the ungodly actions of few selfish leaders, but God’s love has never departed from Nigeria,” Oswald stated.
