A 35-year-old sex worker was in the early hours of Tuesday found dead in a brothel located in Kubwa, Abuja after an overnight session with a client.
The prostitute, identified as Ome Enyi, a native of a native of Cross River State was reported to have lived at the brothel for more than a year.
The customer believed to have spent the night with the deceased is yet to be identified or arrested.
Sources report that the unidentified man, a suspect in this case had lodged in the brothel for the night and was suspected to have slept in the same room as the deceased.
Another source alleged that the man checked out of the brothel earlier on Tuesday before the body of the deceased was found in her room lying unclad on the floor. Adding that the body was discovered by one of the brothel cleaners who had gone to tidy up the room.
The source continued that the body of the deceased prostitute was later moved to the Kubwa General Hospital by the police, following a report to them by the brothel manager.
The corpse of the deceased prostitute has since then been deposited at the hospital morgue.
